Certification of Compliance

REACH Directive

B&B Manufacturing manufactures and sells gears, belts, timing pulleys, and other power transmission components. B&B products that are used in electrical or electrical devices are, by definition, not electronic parts, they are mechanical components. Under normal conditions of use, B&B products do not emit chemicals or other substances.

We have reviewed the REACH directive and associated guidance documents. As a result of the review, we have determined REACH guidelines classify our products as Articles. Article 3 of REACH regulation 1907/2006 defines an article as: “an object which during production is given a special shape, surface, or design which determines its function to a greater degree than its chemical composition”. We neither supply nor manufacture “substances”, and our articles do not involve the “intentional release of substances.” Based on this definition, B&B believes we are not required to register any of our products under REACH.

B&B's products (articles) do not exceed threshold limits established for the June 2025 list of 250 SVHC (Substances of Very High Concern).

B&B issues its part specific auto generated REACH certification free of charge via our website. If additional specific certification is needed, it will be provided for a fee. Parts will only be certified under B&B part numbers. Material certification for previously shipped items is typically not available.

This certification applies to Part Number 10XL-PS6S and is effective from July 1, 2025 through December 31, 2025, or until the list is updated.

Material Certification of Compliance

All B&B Manufacturing parts are RoHS compliant (RoHS 2 2011/65/EU and RoHS 3 2015/863) with the exception of aluminum parts that have gold anodize and a few non-catalog parts that have customer specified non-compliant plating requirements. If you are purchasing aluminum parts with gold anodize and need RoHS compliance, please notify us before placing your order.

• Part number specific auto generated certificates are provided free of charge via our website. If additional specific certification is needed, it will be provided for a fee. Parts will only be certified under B & B part numbers.
• Material certification for previously shipped items may not be available.
• Raw material and subsequent processes do not exceed RoHS directed limits for restricted materials:
  • .35% Lead (steel) (exemption 6—lead as an alloying element)
  • .4% Lead (aluminum) (exemption 6—lead as an alloying element)
  • .1% mercury
  • .1% hexavalent chromium
  • .1% Flame Retardants (PBB & PBDE)
  • .01% Cadmium
  • 1% phthalates (DEHP, BBP, DBP, DIBP)
• B&B validates its suppliers for RoHS compliance annually.

This certification is effective from January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2025
